ERROR 11008 - floating point error returned by settling model at cell<2d_cell_id>, layer <layer_id>

Description

A NaN (not-a-number) value was returned by the settling velocity model at the reported cell and layer (this is the 2D or 3D layer of the water column, not the sediment bed). This indicates a numerical failure in the settling calculation.

Suggestions

Check the model conditions at the reported cell and layer. Review the Settling Model == and accompanying Settling Parameters == command for the sediment type(s) for unrealistic parameterisation. Review the SETRATE map output parameter for evidence on unusual settling rates. If the configuration appears reasonable, reducing the sediment transport timestep (using the sediment control file Update dt == command) may help resolve the issue.
